Dark Chocolate
By – Sahiba Lall (Ramona)
Chocolate is lot than
just food, even the scientific name, Theobroma
Cocao, states in Greek as “Food of God”. I say what God said is right.
Considering the fact
Dark Chocolate and Sugar-Free upon Comparison is like ginger or lemon and honey
which could taste a bit bitter but have health benefits. When the say life
gives you lemon or ginger, throw hem away ask for chocolate. Isn’t?
Dark chocolates tend to
contain sugar, but still the proportions are generally small, and the less
sugar the richer the chocolate. There are a number of strong antioxidants for
cacao and dark chocolate. These have much more than most other species.
Bioactive compounds in cocoa can increase blood flow in blood vessels and reduce
the blood pressure, however, by statistically dramatically. Blood flow can
improve the activity of the brain by cacao or dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate has a
balance of health and nutrients becoming rich in anti-oxidants too. Who
wouldn’t like it. I love! I say ‘My blood type is Chocolate’. So grab a bite of
chocolate because looks like my hands are kinda full. Counting it’s health
benefits: high cocoa, soluble fiber & minerals. In fact 100 gm for Cocoa
bar of 70 % - 80 % Cocoa has 11gm fiber, 67% Fe (Iron), 58% Mg (Magnesium), 89%
Cu (Copper), 98% Maganese, K (Potassium), Ph (Phosphorus), Zn (Zinc) & Se
(Selenium).
Moreover, dark
chocolate flavonols will make you ticker — a further win in people with
diabetes, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say these people
are double-risk for heart disease. The research published in Vascular
Pharmacology in August 2015 found significant changes in cardiovascular
function in people eating high-flovanol dark chocolate. According to Jill
Shaluis, there are four basic food groups: Plain chocolate, Mil chocolate, Dark
chocolate and white chocolate. And I totally agree with the man here. Don’t
have too much it is high in calories with extra sugar around 3.5 ounces pretty
sure not for daily dose.
Science says, it has
fatty acids in saturated form usually monosaturated and little amounts of
polysaturated fats. Plus it has an amount of caffeine to stay you awake and
theobromine or xantheose dosage quite low than coffee.
The compounds found in
cocoa known as cocoa flavonols seem to improve certain cells ' capacity to
secrete insulin, the hormone that controls blood glucose, was published in the
animal study of the Nutritional Biochemistry Journal in November 2017. Although
the results of the study do remain provisional and the authors note that you
need a lot of cocoa and not a lot of sugar to gain from this, further studies
suggest that dark chocolate can support diabetes. But, dark chocolate with
sugar isn’t for diabetic persons. For them sugar free is like oxymoron and
growing up fast in American countries with trend. Eventually to sweeten the
sugar free the companies are using mostly ‘maltitol’ 90% sweet as sugar alcohol
or should say sugar & alcohol can be mislead. But for Diabetic stated as
wonder/helpful because the absorption & digestion is less in them slower
with intestinal tract and maintain the sugar levels.
Thus, heading to
Conclusion Dark chocolate of sugar free chocolate are beneficial for health and
stress reliever has anti-oxidants. Hence “Laughter can be best of medicine but
many a times all you need is Dose of Dark chocolate”.
